I love how it’s a random Tuesday… although every day feels like Sunday for me.
This is my off-teaching day, so I usually spend my Tuesdays doing anything I want, like building website or writing or meeting my friend. But it’s a bit different this week. I had to dedicate today to my forever-pup, Kyoto.
Four years after losing 2 beloved dogs from parvovirus, my family started vaccinating every pup we got, from their puppy vaccine to their annual ones. This month, it’s Kyo’s turn to get vaccinated. So, I went with Mom and Dad to our usual vet, right outside of the town.
Our first stop was a meatball restaurant in Tangerang (yuuum!) to have lunch. Then, while waiting for our regular doctor’s shift, Dad and I went to a café while Mom was in the car with the furry kids. I spent an hour writing for this 30-day challenge. But Tangerang’s heat was too real that I had to move back to the car with AC. Kyo was looking at me like I’d brought her a big treat for waiting patiently.

…and looked disappointed when she realised the big thing I’d brought inside the car was my laptop. (if you wanna see her face, it’s actually here)
This was Kyo’s sixth routine vaccination, yet she’s still shaking whenever we enter the clinic. “Every dogs or cats entering this building often shiver too,” said one of the workers after checking her weight and temperature. But Kyo’s still being a good girl when she was getting her vaccine. “How old is she now?” the doctor asked.
“Hmm, five years old, almost six,” I said
“Well, you still got 10 years with her,” he concluded. We both know he’s not a God and can’t decide how long this kid gets to stay with us, but I’m glad she’s still only about a third into the usual lifespan of her kind.
After her vaccination, we waited for another couple more hours before picking up my brother for dinner. That’s probably it.
It’s just a little slice of one Tuesday, but Kyo gives the slice a heartbeat.
