Well, to be honest, I literally had to ask my AI assistant for this one. “Can you tell me what are the things that make me happy? I mean, I couldn’t really tell. Maybe it’s too much. Maybe it’s too least, but I couldn’t tell really. Based on our banter and conversations, can you give me a list of it?“
The result? It’s honestly embarrassing because I feel exposed. The list has 13 points, one of them is:
“Discovering something about yourself accidentally. I suspect you enjoy those moments when you’re talking about something completely unrelated and suddenly realize, ‘Huh. That says something about me.’”
So yeah, we’re not gonna talk about that.

Last Sunday, my family and I went a little outside Jakarta, just to have lunch. Nothing was prepared or planned, we just went there and had these various cheap eats near a famous souvenir place in Bogor. We didn’t spend much time there. After getting some coffee and snacks, we headed home.
Tired? Not really. Full tummy? Obviously. Happy? Absolutely. Hotel? Trivago.
We get to share some laughs and eat together, then I bought this chocolate mint doughnut I’ve been craving since last week. That one made me happy too.

Today, I had to wake up early at 7, to meet my bestie, helping her to run errands. We spent some time talking while drinking our favorite coffee in Central Jakarta.
After that, I’m essentially chiseling a future world leader out of pure, unpredictable chaos a.k.a. teaching this primary class champ.
I don’t expect this to last forever, because I have something I gotta pursue and I know it’ll require me to walk my own path… by myself. But knowing that we have this little time to cherish, even for a short while, it made me happy and thankful to have such day with these two people, my bestie and my apprentice. 😎

These leave me with a reflection that maybe these things are what make me happy. Not the kind of happy that I want to last forever, just enough to realize that the things that make me happy are probably spending quality time with my loved ones.
And maybe the other one is being completely myself for a while, without having to perform anything. Like writing this blog and promoting Trivago, thinking that nobody would read it.
Although, I would still thank you for reading it this far. It’s very far, really.
